Commercial Metals Co. announces CFO change

Irving, Texas-based Commercial Metals Co. has appointed Paul J. Lawrence as vice president/CFO effective Sept. 1. He succeeds Mary A. Lindsey, senior VP/CFO, who will retire Aug. 31.

Lawrence joined the company in February 2016 as vice president of finance. He was appointed vice president of finance and treasurer in September 2016 and his role was expanded to include financial planning and analysis in January 2017. Before joining the company, Lawrence worked for Gerdau Long Steel North America, Gerdau Ameristeel Corp., and Co-Steel Inc. He has a bachelor’s degree in commerce from Queen’s University.

Commercial Metals Co. and its subsidiaries manufacture, recycle, and market steel and metal products.
