Eastern Metal Supply announces expansions

Metal service center Eastern Metal Supply (EMS), Charlotte, N.C., has announced that EMS Texas is opening a 93,000-sq.-ft. facility in Dallas in January 2019. This facility will act as the distribution center for greater DFW and northern Texas.

Additionally, EMS North Carolina is relocating its Birmingham, Ala., facility to Lithia Springs, Ga., and doubling its size. This location also will be operational in January 2019.

EMS Florida also is expanding in January 2019 with the addition of a 110,000-sq.-ft. warehouse facility in West Palm Beach, Fla., which will primarily stock hurricane shutter protection components and patio/screen room enclosure products. Also, during the first half of 2019, EMS Florida will add 90,000 sq. ft. to its Eastern Architectural Systems building in Fort Myers, Fla., to carry additional inventory to service the shutter and patio/screen enclosure market on the west coast of Florida. This space also will house additional fabrication equipment to manufacture hoods and roof pans.

Additionally, EMS Florida has added a C.R. Onsrud 5-axis X-Series CNC machine and two Haas VF-2 3-axis vertical mills.
