JSW Steel (USA) plans to modernize plate mill in Texas
JSW Steel (USA), Baytown, Texas, has announced plans to launch a full-scale modernization project expected to take about 20 months to complete. The company expects the discrete plate mill project, awarded to Danieli, to increase product offerings and improve quality.
The plate mill modernization is the first phase of a larger project under consideration. The second phase includes the construction of a new melting and casting facility at an undetermined U.S. location.
