Klein Steel appoints president/COO

Rochester, N.Y.-based Klein Steel Service, a metals supplier and processing center, has named Mike Young as president/COO. He has nearly four decades of steel service center experience and has held the position of vice president/COO at Chatham Steel for more than 11 years. Before that he held division manager and executive positions with Chatham Steel for 14 years. Joe Klein will continue his role as chairman/CEO.

The company offers more than 3,500 line items of carbon, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty metals. It offers processing services from high-speed mill and drill to oxy and plasma, as well as component manufacturing and kitting for commercial applications.
