Marmon/Keystone has appointed Ryan Burdette to the position of value-added manager, based out of the company's Norcross, Ga., branch. He covers the Florida, Georgia, and eastern Tennessee markets.
Burdette joined the company in 2007 and since has advanced through multiple positions, most recently concentrating on inside sales. He is pursuing a business management degree at Georgia Gwinnett College and also holds an associate’s degree from Gwinnett Technical College.
The company also has announced the addition of a new piece of equipment to its break-bulk facility in Bucyrus, Ohio. The Amada PCSAW 700 high-speed band saw accommodates new, larger tubing stocked at the depot.
The saw features pulse-cutting technology and can process materials up to 28 in. in diameter. It can handle a total workload capacity of 26,000 lbs.
In December 2010 the facility introduced 60 new sizes of large, hot-rolled seamless tubing up to 26 in. OD. A new variety of welded stainless pipe with ODs up to 24 in. also was added.
Marmon/Keystone is a wholesale distributor of tubular products, with an inventory of more than 15,000 sizes and grades of carbon, alloy, stainless, and aluminum tubular and bar products.
