Olympic Steel appoints GM, Detroit division

Cleveland-based metals service center Olympic Steel Inc. has promoted Lauren A. Sulla to general manager, Detroit division. She joined the company’s Detroit office in 2008, most recently serving as manager, purchasing and materials management for the Detroit division.

Sulla has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Haworth College of Business at Western Michigan University and an MBA from Walsh College. She is a participant in the Metals Service Center Institute’s Strategic Metals Management program at the Olin Business School at Washington University in St. Louis. She is also a member of the Detroit chapter of the Association of Women in the Metal Industries.
