Posco opens steelmaking facility in Indiana

South Korea-based steelmaker Posco has opened a plant in Jeffersonville, Ind., that processes steel wire for fasteners, nuts, and bolts used in the automotive industry. It also serves as a distribution center for other products.

The $21 million, 80,000-sq.-ft. facility is the first phase of construction. The company also plans to expand the plant to 136,000 sq. ft. in the near future and create up to 60 jobs.
