Primetals Technologies supplies electric arc furnace and ladle furnace to Heyuan Derun
London-based Primetals Technologies has received an order from Chinese steel producer Heyuan Derun Iron & Steel Co. Ltd. to supply an EAF Quantum electric arc furnace and a ladle furnace for its reinforcing steel plant in Heyuan, Guangdong -rovince.
The furnace is designed to handle scrap steel of varied composition and quality. The twin-ladle furnace sets the desired steel grades and the correct casting temperature. The new furnaces are scheduled to be commissioned in Q3 2019.
