Solar Atmospheres of Western PA installs 14-ft. air furnace

Solar Atmospheres of Western PA has installed a new, 14-ft.-long car bottom air furnace. Surveyed in accordance with AMS2750 Rev E, it is uniform within ±10 degrees F (Class 2).

With a working zone measuring 60 in. wide by 54 in. high by 168 in. long, the furnace can handle work loads up to 30,000 lbs.

A maximum operating temperature of 1,400 degrees F allows it to temper large tool steel components and age-harden nickel-based alloys and precipitation-hardenable stainless steels.
