Specialty Strip & Oscillating adds slitting capabilities

Specialty Strip & Oscillating Inc., a supplier of conventional slit and oscillate coils in Masury, Ohio, has announced new slitting capabilities. The company manufactures coils in cold-rolled low-carbon, high-carbon, alloy, and stainless steel that can run 20 to 25 miles continuously.

One of the new capabilities is processing steel coils down to 0.003 in. thick; its previous capability was processing coils down to 0.008 in. In addition to the new gauge, the company can process steel coils to a 0.250-in. width.

Further capabilities include welds annealed and ground, slit and deburred, as well as straight-patterned coil walls coiled on steel liners, fiber cores, and spools.
