Zekelman Industries renames American Tube Mfg.
Chicago-based Zekelman Industries has announced that American Tube Mfg. has been renamed Atlas Tube – Birmingham. The change reflects the ownership position from the acquisition of American Tube Mfg. in February 2017 and the integration of the Birmingham plant into the Atlas Tube operating system.
Atlas Tube – Birmingham stocks an expanded range of sizes of high-strength steel products for next-day delivery in the southeastern U.S.—from 0.5 by 0.5 in. to 8 by 8 in. Operations continue out of its current location led by Tom Muth, president of HSS and piling at Zekelman Industries.
Zekelman Industries includes the operating divisions of Atlas Tube, Picoma, Sharon Tube, Wheatland Tube, Z Modular, and Western Tube & Conduit Corp.
