Formtek Maine adds CNC turning center
Formtek Maine, Clinton, Maine, has purchased an Okuma LB4000 turning center. The machine — the company’s fourth CNC turning center — adds capacity for manufacturing parts for the company’s press feed and coil metal processing equipment.
The turning center can turn parts up to 16.93 in. dia. by 59 in. long. It is equipped with live tooling and a barstock feeder with 12 spindle liners. The new turning center allows for complete throughput, on a single machine, of finished straightener rolls used in the company’s equipment.
