Airgas donates $50,000 in PPE to FSU welding engineering students

Radnor Township, Pa.-based Airgas has donated $50,000 worth of personal protective equipment to students enrolled in the welding engineering program at Ferris State University, Big Rapids, Mich.

The donation includes enough welding jackets, hoods, gloves, and safety glasses for each of the students registered for one year. Airgas also has donated all the shielding gases used in the program for the second year in a row.

FSU’s welding engineering technology program is designed to produce plant-level welding engineering technology graduates. The course focuses on the concept, design, and engineering of weldments and the implementation of welding processes. According to FSU, this welding engineering program is the largest program of its kind in the U.S., currently serving about 170 students.
