Acme Wire Products hosts tour for national wire fabricators group

Acme Wire Products Co. Inc., Mystic, Conn., a producer of custom-engineered steel and stainless steel wire and metal components, recently hosted a group of manufacturers that had gathered in Mystic for the annual fall meeting of the Wire Fabricators Association. The production facility includes CNC wire fabrication and forming, robotic welding, and conveyorized powder coating lines.

In addition to industry-specific activities and presentations from AIM Machine and Mid-South Wire, WFA members also learned about solar energy during a presentation by Dynamic Energy. Members viewed the new solar panel installation at Acme Wire Products.

“The solar equipment will provide up to 90% of Acme Wire Products’ electricity needs. As our company continues to grow and energy costs continue to climb, the solar panels will allow us to become more energy efficient and to meet our sustainability goals,” said Mary Fitzgerald, Acme Wire president.
