Advanced Heat Treat Corp. names president

Waterloo, Iowa-based Advanced Heat Treat Corp., a provider of plasma ion nitriding, ferritic nitrocarburizing, gas nitriding, UltraOx®, through hardening, carburizing, carbonitriding, and induction hardening processes, has appointed Mikel Woods as president. Former President Gary Sharp remains active in the company and continues to serve as CEO and owner.

Woods joined the company in 2005, serving most recently as senior vice president. Before that he held several leadership positions at Husco Intl. He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting from The University of Iowa and an executive MBA from the University of Wisconsin.
