Alliance Laundry Systems to expand in Wisconsin

Alliance Laundry Systems, Ripon, Wis., a global manufacturer of commercial laundry equipment, has purchased a vacant plant in Manitowoc, Wis., and announced plans to expand.

The company plans to shift some functions from Ripon to the new location and create about 250 jobs in Manitowoc, but eventually expects to add jobs at its headquarters as well. Work is expected to begin at the new location in September.

Company officials noted that the Ripon plant reached capacity and has difficulty filling vacant positions in a tight labor market.
