ATC breaks ground on new manufacturing plant

U.S. Rep. Jackie Walorski, R-Ind. (second from left), and Nappanee, Ind., Mayor Phil Jenkins (second from right) joined leaders from ATC and R. Yoder Construction at the groundbreaking.

ATC, a manufacturer of aluminum RVs and trailers, has broken ground for a 221,000-sq.-ft. facility in Nappanee, Ind. The plant, which will serve as company headquarters, will allow for increased production and inventory for RV units and parts while also accommodating RV and trailer shipping logistics.

Operations at the new facility will follow the company’s newest manufacturing strategy, which involves producing RVs and trailers with popular preset features based on historic customer data. This approach has streamlined ATC’s manufacturing processes with dedicated production lines that assemble RVs and trailers at an accelerated rate with precision.

Scheduled for completion in early 2023, the expansion is expected to create 150 to 200 jobs.
