AZZ Inc. to acquire certain assets of Lectrus

AZZ Inc., a Fort Worth, Texas, provider of metal coatings services, welding systems, and specialty electrical equipment to the power generation, transmission, distribution, and industrial markets, has won the bid to acquire certain assets through a 363 bankruptcy sale process from Lectrus Corp., a manufacturer of custom metal enclosures and provider of electrical and mechanical integration.

Lectrus’ Chattanooga, Tenn., facility is included in the assets acquired. The 585,000-sq.-ft. site includes a 210,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing facility, as well as engineering, estimating, project management, fabrication, integration, and sales personnel. The facility will be operated as AZZ Enclosure Systems – Chattanooga LLC, a Delaware limited liability company, and will complement AZZ's current metal enclosure and switchgear locations in Kansas, Maryland, and Missouri.
