Bombardier Recreational Products to create 200 jobs in Michigan

Quebec-based boat manufacturer Bombardier Recreational Products Inc. has announced plans to expand its Manitou Boats facility in Watertown Township, Mich. The $11.9 million project, which will include renovation of the company’s current facility and expansion into an adjacent property, is expected to create close to 200 jobs.

BRP acquired Manitou Pontoon Boats in 2018 and added Manitou marine products to its list of recreation vehicle brands, including Ski-Doo, Sea-Doo, Lynx, Can-Am, and Alumacraft. The company’s products are manufactured in Canada, Mexico, Finland, Austria, Australia, and the U.S.
