C.I. Hayes installs pusher furnace for brazing, heat treating

C.I. Hayes, Cranston, R.I., a Gasbarre Furnace Group company, has installed a model BA-M atmosphere pusher furnace for brazing and general heat treating of stainless steel materials for a dedicated processor of select cutlery product lines. The furnace is equipped with a rigid chain indexing drive, silicon carbide heating elements, and a controlled atmosphere system that includes an analyzer for dew point and oxygen level monitoring plus purge verification.

The furnace has a maximum operating temperature of 2,100 degrees F. For automatic load and unload queuing of work, the furnace has a powered roll return conveyance system with right-angle transfers.
