Chemetall aerospace specialist to speak about metalworking fluids at Eastec May 18

Chemetall North America, New Providence, N.J., a surface treatment supplier and a global business unit of BASF's Coatings division, has announced Brian Hovik, market manager metalworking, will offer a presentation on metalworking fluids on May 18 at 10:30 a.m. at Eastec, held at the Eastern States Exposition in West Springfield, Mass. Hovik has more than 30 years of hands-on experience as a manufacturing engineer with Boeing.

"The manufacturing industry is dependent on metalworking fluids to aid in extending tool life, enhancing productivity, and reducing waste. This presentation will take a detailed look into the perspective from the end user, metalworking fluid manufacturer, regulating agencies, and waste treatment facilities," said Hovik. "Understanding and appreciating each perspective will help all involved to manufacture, use, and manage metalworking fluids as an asset versus a necessary requirement."
