In the first year of its “Best Manufacturing Associations to Work For” awards program, the National Association of Manufacturers’ (NAM) Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA) named the Fabricators & Manufacturers Association (FMA), International, as one of its winners. FMA, with its more than 2,500 individual and company members, advocates for the growth and sustainability of the North American metal processing, forming, and fabricating industries through its conferences, publications, tradeshows, and charitable foundation.
"FMA is honored to be recognized as one of the best manufacturing trade associations to work for. Our team takes great pride in the work we are doing to help the metal fabrication industry continue to grow and thrive," FMA President and CEO Ed Youdell said. "This award speaks to the culture that our staff has created. We will continue the hard work of living up to our organization’s core values of honesty, integrity, respect, trust, accountability, team work, innovation, creativity, open communication, and acting with a sense of urgency."
FMA is one of 10 trade associations that will be recognized with “Best Manufacturing Associations to Work For” awards. Winners will be honored at the CMA’s 2018 Summer Leadership Conference in Chicago in August.
The 10 associations are American Bakers Association, American Coatings Association, FMA, Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries, International Sign Association, Irrigation Association, The Plastics Industry Association, PMMI—The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies, The Aluminum Association Inc., and The Fertilizer Institute.
“Each and every day, these organizations are showing how careers supporting manufacturing can be fun, fulfilling and flexible—not just a good paycheck,” said CMA Executive Director Tonya Muse. “We’re proud to recognize every one of our CMA partners that is being honored this year and we look forward to recognizing even more outstanding partners in the years to come.”
The CMA is made up of more than 260 manufacturing trade associations that work together on behalf of manufacturing in the U.S.
