Fruehauf resumes U.S. production
Semi-trailer manufacturer Fruehauf Inc. has announced plans to return production to the U.S. after shifting all production to Mexico nearly 25 years ago.
The company, now a subsidiary of Mexican manufacturer the Fultra Group, will build a $12 million facility in Bowling Green, Ky., for the assembly of dry van trailers, with most components manufactured off-site. The project is expected to create 288 full-time jobs in the coming years.
