Fuchs opens $26 million grease plant in Illinois

Fuchs Petrolub SE, a manufacturer of lubricants and related products, has announced the grand opening of a new, $26 million grease manufacturing plant, research laboratory, and warehouse in Harvey, Ill., near Chicago.

The 34,000-sq.-ft. factory serves the automotive, heavy-duty truck, construction, rail, and off-road markets in North America. The plant employs 400 people.

In addition to the manufacturing plant, the company has built new R&D and technical services laboratories and a warehouse at the Harvey site. The new labs will be used for testing existing products and developing new products.
