FVWDB announces recipients of $300,000 in training grants through Wisconsin Fast Forward program

The Fox Valley Workforce Development Board (FVWDB) has announced the eight Fox Valley recipients of the Wisconsin Fast Forward (WFF) worker training grants. The grant program supports talent development by helping Wisconsin employers implement customized training programs that provide workers with the practical jobs skills they need to succeed in a 21st-century workforce.

Jay Manufacturing, Muza Metal Products, and SMC Metal Fabricators, all of Oshkosh, will split a $110,194 press brake grant to teach four groups of 24 employees how to operate a press brake. In addition, Hoffmaster Creative in Oshkosh; JM Smucker in Ripon, Wis.; Waupaca Foundry and Gusmer Enterprises in Waupaca, Wis.; and Creative Converting in Clintonville, Wis., will split a $200,000 mechanical fundamentals grant to train three groups of 12 employees each how to repair mechanical equipment.
