Gasbarre Thermal Processing installs furnace at Thermal-Vac Technology

Gasbarre Thermal Processing Systems has delivered an electrically heated furnace to Thermal-Vac Technology, adding precision nitriding and FNC capabilities to its brazing, heat-treating, and finishing in Orange, Calif.

The furnace uses Super Systems Inc. controls for automatic control of nitriding and carburizing potential to AMS 2759/10 and 2759/12 specifications. It is designed to meet AMS 2750/F as a Class 2 furnace, which allows it to be used to perform nitrogen tempering and stress relieving. The furnace is equipped with a vacuum pump for purging processes, pre- and postoxidation capabilities, and accelerated air and atmosphere cooling systems. It processes work loads up to 48 by 72 by 40 in. and 7,000 lbs.
