Gayle Mfg. to move operations to Idaho, close California plant

Steel fabricator Gayle Mfg. will close its plant in Woodland, Calif., and relocate to a new, 166,000-sq.-ft. facility in Caldwell, Idaho, which the company opened in January 2017. The move more than doubles the company’s square footage.

Although the company invited all employees to work at the new plant, it will lay off 76 employees in Woodland. About 30 employees plan to move with the company to Idaho.
