Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence, North Kingstown, R.I., has announced that Jeff Krause, CEO of SME, will deliver the keynote address for its HxGN Local Automotive Summit on Oct. 10 in Novi, Mich.

The keynote presentation, entitled "Automotive Manufacturing: Innovation through Technology and Training," will cover the historic changes occurring in vehicle capabilities and advanced manufacturing technologies. Krause will discuss the challenges the industry faces, including current and future workforce challenges.

Krause, who has 40 years of automotive, business, and manufacturing experience, will explore the latest trends in automotive manufacturing processes and technology, such as automation, robotics, and additive manufacturing. He will also talk about the tools, knowledge, and skills needed in tomorrow's automotive workforce.
