JTEKT North America expands in South Carolina
JTEKT North America, a subsidiary of global automotive and industrial supplier JTEKT Corp., has completed a $5.8 million expansion of its headquarters on the campus of the Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research (CU-ICAR), Greenville, S.C. The expansion is expected to create 100 jobs by 2020.
The company manufactures steering systems, driveline components, bearings, and precision machine tools for the automotive industry. It employs more than 6,000 associates at 24 sites across North America, including four manufacturing facilities located in South Carolina. The firm consolidated a portion of its headquarters to CU-ICAR in 2015.
