Layman Fabrication expands shop

North Vernon, Ind.-based Layman Fabrication is adding 4,000 sq. ft. to its 8,400-sq.-ft. facility. The expansion is expected to be complete in October.

Kyle Layman, the company co-owner and general manager, said the additional space will provide space to add six new fabricators to the company’s staff of 16. The shop has the capability to bend, punch, shear, and weld sheet metal, plate, and tube.

Layman Fabrication started in a barn in 2003, and in 2011 it built a new pole barn over its original location. It moved to its current location in 2014.
