Lincoln Electric names executive VP/president of International Welding
Lincoln Electric Holdings Inc., Cleveland, has promoted Steven B. Hedlund to executive vice president and president of the International Welding segment. He succeeds Mathias Hallmann, who has left the company to pursue other interests.
In this role Hedlund leads the European (Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Russia) and Asia-Pacific regions’ day-to-day operations and oversees the implementation of all strategic, operational, and commercial initiatives. He continues to serve as a member of the management committee.
Hedlund most recently served as senior vice president and president of global automation. He joined the company in 2008 as vice president, strategy and business development. Previously he was with Fortune Brands Inc. and Booz Allen & Hamilton. He earned a bachelor’s degree and an MBA from Dartmouth College.
