Lindberg/MPH ships cyclone box furnace for use in heat-treating industry

Riverside, Mich.-based Lindberg/MPH has shipped a gas-fired cyclone box furnace to a customer for heat-treating steel parts. The work chamber, designed to accept a basket with dimensions of 48 by 84 by 48 in., has a maximum temperature rating of 1,250 degrees F.

The heating/combustion system comprises one nozzle mix gas burner firing downward into a combustion chamber before entering the recirculation airflow. The combustion chamber is located at the rear of the furnace adjacent to the recirculating fan chamber. The furnace hearth comprises eight alloy rollers positioned across the furnace chamber floor suitable for load support and manual movement.
