Mallard Mfg. completes second expansion in three years

Mallard Mfg., a manufacturer of gravity-flow storage products, has completed its second expansion in three years with a new, 30,000-sq.-ft. building at its headquarters and manufacturing location in Sterling, Ill.

The facility now is 20 percent larger, with the new building adding to the recently expanded 150,000-sq.-ft. building to accommodate increased sales volume and to streamline operations.

The expansion includes an industrial powder coat oven that enables batch processing for powder coating. The company also has added a plasma cutter in the welding department, as well as office space.
