Marinette Marine awarded $5.5 billion Navy contract
Wisconsin-based Marinette Marine, a subsidiary of Fincantieri, has been awarded a U.S. Navy contract for up to 10 new guided-missile frigates, worth more than $5.5 billion over 15 years.
The contract is expected to create 1,000 jobs at the shipyard and more than 5,000 jobs, directly or indirectly, across northeast Wisconsin.
