Meritor acquires AA Gear & Mfg.

Meritor Inc., Troy, Mich., has acquired substantially all of the assets of Howell, Mich.-based AA Gear & Mfg. Inc. (AAG) and its subsidiaries. AAG provides low- to medium-volume batch manufacturing for complex gear and shaft applications, as well as quick-turnaround prototyping and emergency plant support.

Meritor is a supplier of drivetrain, mobility, braking, and aftermarket systems for the commercial vehicle and industrial markets.
