Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center announces two promotions

Robert Lyscas and Charlie Westra

The Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center, Plymouth, Mich., has promoted Robert Lyscas to the newly created position of COO and Charlie Westra to director of manufacturing services.

Lyscas previously served as vice president of manufacturing services for five years. He has extensive experience in quality management, engineering, and supplier assessment and development, with a career of more than 40 years in the manufacturing and quality fields.

Westra formerly served as growth services program manager. In his new role, he manages the organization’s team of 12 consultants and trainers while continuing to serve as a consultant and instructor with expertise in supervisor skills and leadership development.

The Michigan Manufacturing Technology Center is an organization that supports Michigan manufacturers with personalized consulting services to help meet their needs in nearly every aspect of their businesses. The center is affiliated with the National Institute of Standards and Technology and is part of the Hollings Manufacturing Extension Partnership.
