Mohawk Metal completes fabrication of Amazon Spheres

Mohawk Metal, Eugene, Ore., has completed fabrication of Amazon Spheres, a $4 billion domed office park in Seattle for Amazon employees. The company was one of three metal fabricators who processed and fabricated the millions of pounds of steel in the three glass structures, the largest of which is 90 ft. tall and 130 ft. dia.

The company began the project in mid-2016, cutting, bending, and coating nearly 3 million lbs. of steel for the sphere supporting frames, as well as handrails, staircases, and bridges.
