Norsk Titanium AS receives Europe Technology Innovation Award
Norway-based Nork Titanium AS has been recognized with the Frost & Sullivan 2017 Europe Technology Innovation Award for its Rapid Plasma Deposition™ (RPD™) technology, a titanium alloy additive manufacturing technique for the production of complex and high-strength products with high material property requirements.
This technique can be used to fabricate titanium alloy structural components with high material and metallurgical integrity. It offers very high deposition rates, reduces the use of titanium by 40 percent to 80 percent, and can print both small-scale and large-scale components.
The award is presented annually to the company that has developed a product with innovative features and functionality that is gaining rapid acceptance in the market. The award recognizes the quality of the product and the customer value enhancements it enables.
