Pentair to acquire Manitowoc Ice

Pentair, a provider of pool water treatment systems and fire suppression equipment, has announced plans to acquire Manitowoc Ice, a supplier of ice-making machines with production facilities in Manitowoc, Wis.; Mexico; and China.

“We expect this strategic acquisition to be a game-changer for our commercial water solutions platform, establishing a differentiated, total water management offering and expanded network within the foodservice industry,” said Pentair President/CEO John Stauch.
