Razor Contract Manufacturing receives funding for expansion

Razor Contract Manufacturing Ltd., Saint John, N.B., has received funding to add up to 29 employees and enhance production.

Opportunities NB is providing $235,000 in payroll rebates for the company’s workforce expansion and $412,500 in the form of a conditionally repayable loan for an automation system to improve productivity.

The federal government, through the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA), is providing a repayable contribution of $950,000 through its Regional Economic Growth Through Innovation program for the purchase of the automation system.

The company specializes in metal fabrication, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, with capabilities including laser cutting, bending, and welding.
