Signet LLC creates Chemical Specialties Division

Private investment firm Signet LLC, Akron, Ohio, has formed a Chemical Specialties Division that includes four of its chemical manufacturing and service companies:

• Sprayroq, a provider of spray-applied resin technology for structural rehabilitation and corrosion protection of water and wastewater in Birmingham, Ala.
• Sprayroq of China, which similarly services applied resin contracts in Asia, based in Shanghai.
• Creative Polymer Solutions, provider of customized polymer technology for corrosion control and structural rehabilitation in Birmingham, Ala.
• Blue Grass Chemical Specialties, a chemical manufacturer engaged in contract manufacturing and toll production of custom proprietary chemical products in New Albany, Ind.

The company has hired Kevin Williams to serve as president of the new division.
