Sintavia adds large-scale printing capability

Sintavia LLC, Davie, Fla., a provider of metal additive manufacturing (AM) services, has acquired an EOS M400 system. The machine, which will be operational in September, has a build volume of 400 by 400 by 400 mm.

As part of its recently announced expansion in nearby Hollywood, Fla., the company expects to add an incremental 35 printers by 2020, most of which will be similarly sized large systems. This growth also will require the acquisition of larger gauged support equipment, including a larger heat treatment furnace, HIP, and other postprocessing equipment.
