Solar Mfg. builds vacuum furnace for MuShield
Solar Mfg.
Sellersville, Pa.-based Solar Mfg. has built a customized vacuum furnace for The MuShield Co. of Londonderry, N.H. Featuring a SolarVac® Polaris control system and fully compliant to AMS2750E pyrometric specification, the furnace is designed to accommodate loads up to 36 in. wide by 36 in. high by 72 in. deep and a maximum weight of 5,000 lbs.
The furnace operates at a vacuum level of 10-5 torr with a maximum temperature capability of 2,400 degrees F. Its external quench system is designed for pressure up to 2 bar.
