STI/SPFA hires executive VP

The Steel Tank Institute/Steel Plate Fabricators Association, Lake Zurich, Ill., has hired Tim O'Toole as executive vice president. He succeeds Wayne Geyer, who will retire in late 2020.

O'Toole has worked for the past 18 years in nonprofit association marketing and communications, membership development, event planning, education and certification, advocacy, foundations, and volunteer development and coordination. His most recent position was director of marketing for the Mason Contractors Association of America. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Elmhurst College and an MBA from Webster University.
