Stulz completes $5 million expansion in Maryland

Stulz Air Technology Systems has completed the first phase of a planned expansion in Frederick, Md. The company manufactures cooling systems for mission-critical applications and data centers, including a full line of precision air conditioners, outdoor air handlers, ultrasonic humidifiers, and desiccant dehumidifiers.

The expansion includes the purchase of a 41,000-sq.-ft. building adjacent to the existing facility. The new building houses an expanded sheet metal fabrication and weld shop, including two new powder coat lines. The existing facility also will be expanded to accommodate a growing line of outdoor air handling units and large-capacity perimeter cooling systems.

The expansion is expected to create more than 25 permanent jobs.
