Valmont Industries appoints CEO

Valmont Industries Inc., Omaha, Neb., a provider of engineered products and services for infrastructure development and mechanized irrigation equipment and services for agriculture, has named Stephen G. Kaniewski as president/CEO, effective Dec. 31. He succeeds Mogens C. Bay, who will become executive chairman on Dec. 31 for a transitional period.

Kaniewski has been Valmont's president/COO since October 2016. Before that he was group president of the company’s utility support structures segment. He joined the company in 2010 as vice president, information technology and also has held the position of vice president, global operations for the irrigation segment.
