Victaulic helps American Red Cross and United Way prepare youth for emergencies

Easton, Pa.-based Victaulic, a producer of mechanical pipe joining systems, has partnered with United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley and American Red Cross Lehigh Valley–Bucks to bring an emergency training program to students at Cheston Elementary, a United Way Community School in the Easton area. Victaulic is a corporate sponsor of the school.

Funded by a grant from The Walt Disney Co., the Pillowcase Project teaches fifth-grade children coping skills to help them deal with an emergency situation and also offers tips and tools to help them prepare for emergencies. On May 19, Cheston Elementary fifth-graders participated in an instructor-led presentation and received a personal emergency pillowcase stuffed with supplies.
