Workshops for Warriors receives $1 million donation from Ariel Corp.

San Diego-based Workshops for Warriors, an accredited school that trains, certifies, and helps place veterans, wounded warriors, and transitioning service members into advanced manufacturing careers, has received a $1 million donation from Ariel Corp., a manufacturer of separable reciprocating gas compressors.

Workshops for Warriors’ operating costs are about $200,000 per month, and the school does not receive federal or state funding.

“For Ariel, this training pipeline is a great way to find qualified, skilled machinists while also supporting veterans in their transition to civilian life,” said Karen Buchwald Wright, president/CEO.
