Hexagon launches program to offer CMM equipment access as a service

A new metrology subscription program launched by Hexagon’s Manufacturing Intelligence division gives businesses in the U.S. and Canada access to metrology equipment as a service without having to invest in new equipment.

Called The Works, the program helps manufacturers of all sizes gain immediate access to CMM technologies. At the center of the program is MyCare, a maintenance subscription that includes annual certifications, preventive maintenance, software updates, and unlimited technical support. The program also includes discounts on calibrations, repairs, parts, and cloud-based asset management.

All CMMs in the program include the Pulse environmental monitoring system, which uses a network of sensors to record and indicate potential crashes and variations in temperature, vibration, and humidity in the vicinity of CMMs. Cloud-based system information is accessible via a web browser, from which users can access real-time data, check system activity and status, and work remotely.
