Fastener-installation press includes manual feed system

The new base model of the PEMSERTER® Series 2000® fastener-installation press from PennEngineering® features a manual feed system with the same ram force and throat depth as the automatic version. The press, which installs self-clinching fasteners permanently in thin metal sheets, is suitable for short production runs and similar jobs for which automation would not be appropriate.

The press provides 8 tons of ram force and a 24-in. throat depth with clearance for a variety of chassis configurations. It operates with an air-over-oil actuating system that enables short cycle time.

Features include job search and recall mode, allowing operators to reference 99 stored jobs and return to previous jobs quickly; touchscreen and graphics to simplify use; multiple language capabilities; real-time installation force feedback displayed on-screen; and fastener and batch counters.
